Olivia and Ian, three in one session

Olivia’ mother purchased a voucher from my website about 9 months ago for her daughter who was due to get married in a few months.

When Olivia rang me to arrange the booking for her wedding day she mentioned to me that she was pregnant as well, about 9 months!

The wedding was a very intimate affair and I was only asked to take family portraits and some of Olivia and Ian.

The location was Ian’s mum house  so I brought my trusty foldable background and studio lights.

Olivia also has a 2 year son, so I took the opportunity to take some shots of him too.

From a wedding to a pregnancy to a child portrait session, three in one!

For the record, Olivia and Ian had a gorgeous baby girl, named Teegan.

Here are some of my favourites.

Lisa & Liam, a Ballymagarvey Wedding by Kildare Wedding Photographer Eric Molimard

I have been to a number of wedding venues and locations and some are more impressive than others. Ballymagarvey Village in Meath seems  to tick all the boxes.

It has great and varied gardens, a period house with a huge conservatory, a working kitchen and lots of rooms for your guests to get comfortable.

Lisa & Liam sealed their union on the 20th of October in a civil ceremony which was filled with laughter and happiness. Lisa and Liam are such a happy and easy-going couple I nearly forgot I was working.

From the ceremony to the drink reception is only a 5 mns walk, so no time is wasted traveling to another venue, another great advantage for everyone.

Lisa and Liam were both getting ready in the main house, which allowed me to get some shots of Liam getting ready too.

The ceremony was simple and beautiful and the room was superb.

The rain was threatening so we decided to take the couple’s photos straight away. A 40 mns walk around the garden and I had my shots in, pressure was off a little and I could let Lisa & Liam enjoy the party.

It was a great day, the sun came out after a big shower and the evening light flooding in was gorgeous.

Thank you guys for this great day!

Wedding Photography in Gougane Barra, Leeanne & Karol, by Kildare wedding photographer Eric Molimard

Every now and then, a wedding location blows you away with its wild beauty. Such is the case for Gougane Barra.

Located approximately 40mns from Macroom, Cork, it ticks a lot of my boxes. It is very scenic with moutains, lake, waterfall, trees, rocks and the cutest little church in the middle of it.

No surprise Leeanne and Karol fell for it. They celebrated their union is an intimate ceremony on the 30th of September.

With such great features, there was no need to go anywhere else for the family and couple’s photographs. We then headed back the Castle Hotel for the rest of the party.

Thank you to Leeanne & Karol for making me part of your wedding day.

Wedding Fashion Show in aid of Marie Keating Foundation with Truly Bridal Naas by Kildare Wedding Photographer Eric Molimard

You don’t say no when someone asks you to participate to a charity event, specially when it means photographing 4 gorgeous models.

Lorraine from Trulybridal  hosted the event on Wednesday 19th Of October in her showroom on Friary Rd in Naas.

About 40 brides-to- be turned up and supported the Marie Keating Foundation.

Hairdresser & make up artists also gave a helping hand to make this evening a real success.

Thank you Lorraine & Martina for inviting me along. Can’t wait for the next one!

Engagement photo session with Geraldine & Cormac in Donadea Forest.

Geraldine & Cormac are getting married in September 2012 in County Carlow.

There is nothing better than an engagement session or pre-wedding session to get to know each other. I get to see how confortable they are in front of the camera and they get a feel of what it is like to have me as their photographer.

We went to Donadea Forrest on a quite horrible morning, it had rained all night and there was still a fine drizzle coming down.

I love this location as it has a lot to offer. There is a forest obviously, a lake with lots of wildlife,  a very quaint coffee shop with cool tables and chairs and the old ruin of the Aylmer Family Castle.

I always have my flashgun on a stand with a softbox as it is a great way to add some backlight to otherwise dull lighting conditions.

Thanks to this session that lasted only one hour, we are all confident that I will produce the images that Geraldine & Cormac want for their wedding.
